What are the featured events at the 2019 show?

Is there anything other than the featured events to watch?

Yes. There are horses and/or ponies showing in up to 4 rings each day. The show starts by 8am. The schedule will be listed in the 2019 prize list, as well as on the show schedule page.

 

What is the cost of general admission for the Grand Prix nights?

Both Saturday nights there will be a $10 (cash only) admission fee per person, Children 6 and under are free. Ticket sales will begin at 5pm on Grand Prix day, booths are located at the East and West Entrance. ATMs are located by the West side ticket booth as well as next to the Show Office.


Can I reserve a seat?

The horse show does not offer reserved seating.


How can I get a ticket to the Grand Prix Sponsor Party?

What food is available on site?

There will be food trucks onsite during the show.

 

Is outside food and beverage allowed on the grounds?  

Yes, you may bring in food and beverages.

 

Are there restrooms?

Yes, restrooms are located on the east and west sides of the arena. There are also porta-potties on the show grounds.

 

Will NCSU football impact traffic during the 2019 show?

Yes on Saturdays, November 9th AND 16th NCSU (7:30pm kick off) will be playing across the street. Traffic and parking will be affected that day. Plan extra time and patience to park.


Is there an event at the PNC Arena during the 2019 show?

Traffic and parking may be affected around the following events. Wed 11/6 and Thurs 11/7 - 7pm Carolina Hurricanes games; Fri. 11/8 7:00pm - The Black Keys; Sun. 11/10 2pm and 4pm - NCSU Basketball games;  Thurs. 11/14 - NCSU Basketball game and 7pm - Carolina Hurricanes game

 

Where do I park?

From Trinity Rd turn into Gate H3 if open (the paved parking lot) or H4 and turn left then drive until you are in the paved parking lot by the Gov. James B. Hunt, Jr Horse Complex. The West entrance gate is to the left of the main building. You can easily start your visit in the indoor ring that way and work your way through the show grounds as well as have a chance to see all the wonderful vendors. see GRAND PRIX night parking also. GRAND PRIX NIGHT overflow parking

The main lot through H3 and/or H4 fills very early. Please try to park at the gravel lot on Youth Center Road by gate H1, the east side of the arena. From Trinity Rd turn onto Youth Center Road and the lot will be on the left. Walk directly across the street and enter through the East gate, H1.
