Prior to Volunteer Shift 

       1)  Download Twitter and Instagram apps and install on smart phone
       2)  Follow @jumpforthechildren on Instagram and @JFTCHorseShow and @JFTCRingUpdates on Twitter.

Day of Volunteer Shift 

        1)  Check in at the horse show office and receive the day’s passwords for Twitter and Instagram. Log onto the accounts. You can log onto multiple Twitter           accounts at once but only 1 Instagram account.
       2)  Pick up the day’s schedule plus the list of divisions that are ending that day. Any classes that need to be ‘live tweeted’ will be noted.
       3)  You will either be assigned indoors or to the outdoor rings.


Inside Ring


1. Instagram account: Post at least 1 photo of an exhibitor, candid, a silent auction item highlight, vendor highlight or sponsor highlight. Use hashtags (eg. #johndeere, #goldencorral...) when spotlighting a sponsor or vendor. Use hashtag #JFTC2015 at the end of each post!

2. Main Twitter account (@JFTCHorseShow)

        a. Post the champion and reserve of each division. Refer to the daily schedule for divisions that are concluding that day. Get a photo of the awards presentation if any. Use hashtag #JFTC2015 at the end of each post. 
        b. Send out at least 1 tweet with a candid photo, silent auction highlight, schedule highlight (eg. the exhibitor’s party, Stick Horse Race...), vendor or sponsor highlight. Use a hashtag when tweeting about a vendor or sponsor. Also, use #JFTC2015 at the end of each post. 
       c. Any schedule changes or logistics information should be posted. These would include but are not limited to: details of Grand Prix night parking, ring changes for divisions and time changes of divisions. 

      d. This account will be used for live tweeting. The classes that will be live tweeted will be noted on the daily schedule. To live tweet, take a photo while the horse and rider are on course. At the end of each competitor’s round, announce the horse, rider and their score while posting the picture. End with #JFTC2015 

    i.    Use score for Hunter Derby’s and Classics. 
    ii.    Note number of faults and time for Jumper classes.

3. Ring Update account (@JFTCRingUpdates). 
    a.    Post the number of trips left for the division currently running about every 30min.-hour.
announcement hasn’t been made about number of trips left, go to the ingate and ask. 
    b.    Post when an under saddle class begins and which class it is. 
    c.    Post what division is starting and how many people are in that division. 
    d.    Conclude all tweets with #JFTC2015.


Outdoor Rings
